April 1997: Four days before her death, Stanley is at Grace's side. |

April 18, 1997: It is Friday morning and Stanley has just learned
that Grace will probably not survive the weekend. In the background are Anita Long and Ann
Fotheringham. |

April 18, 1997: Several hours later, Grace quietly passed away. On
Friday afternoon, shortly after her death, Stanley says goodbye to his wife of 44 years. |

April 29, 1997: A photo of a young Grace Frasier is displayed at her
memorial service in Fairhaven's Church of the Good Shepherd. |

May 26, 1997: On Memorial Day, Stanley makes a visit to Grace's
grave. She was born on Jan. 20, 1932. In addition to her widower, Grace's survivors
include her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren, who live in New Hampshire; and
two brothers, Arnold and Robert Jefferson, of Fairhaven. |

May 26, 1997: Stanley's shadow is cast upon Grace's tombstone during
his Memorial Day visit. |

1953: Grace and Stanley Frasier, steadfast mates in sickness and
health. Stanley recalled in an interview in the spring of 1996 that his beloved Grace had
a health crisis on their first date. He never left her side. |
