Sofia Milos,
born of Italian-Greek heritage in Zurich, Switzerland, plays Celia Amonte
in “Passionada.”
Celia is the
middle of three generations of Portuguese women living in the same house
in the working-class city of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She’s a
seamstress, a singer of Portuguese fado, and a widow who’s hidden her
heart away. Until now.
Milos has
appeared in “Jane Austen’s Mafia!” and “The Ladies Man,” as well as the TV
shows “Caroline in the City” and “The Sopranos.”
