The fourth annual New Bedford Whaling Blues Festival turned historic Fort Taber Park into a Mecca for music lovers Sunday, July 22, 2001.
"With a top-notch lineup that included second-generation blues royalty, two Grammy nominees, and a multiple Handy Award winner, the 2001 Whaling blues fest was the biggest of its kind in southern New England," said Sean Moriarty, festival president.

Unfortunately, in 2005, after eight great years, the New Bedford Whaling Blues Festival played it's last gig.  Many thanks to Sean Moriarty, his co-producers, and the entire NBWBF staff.
