Iddon started as a freelance photographer in 1979 and became a
staff
photographer for the
Standard-Times in New Bedford, MA. in 1986. He became the chief
photographer in 1996 at the S-T. In 2006, after 20 years as a
photojournalist for the Standard-Times, Mr. Iddon has come full
circle to return to freelancing and his passion for artistic expression
through photography. |

Since that day back in 1975, when I purchased my first 35mm camera, I have loved the art of still photography. I loved it so much, that in 1985, and with 19 years into another career, I decided to make a change. It turned out to be a wise decision, as now, I really love what I do. Looking back, I could not have made this career move without the advice and support of my family. Since my return to freelancing in 2006, I am currently providing photography, web site design and maintenance for the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Fairhaven, MA. Through this association, I have been blessed with the opportunity of photographing the congregation's missions in New Mexico, South Texas, Washington DC, Mexico, India, and the Bahamas. I also provide photography and mentoring for the Nativity Prep School in New Bedford. Thank you for visiting my photo gallery! |
